Endeavour Name Change Approved

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada - Endeavour Silver Corp. (EDR : TSX-V) Bradford J. Cooke, President and CEO of Endeavour Silver Corp., is pleased to confirm that pursuant to a special resolution passed by shareholders on August 5, 2004, the Company has changed its name. There is no consolidation of capital and the stock symbol remains the same.

Effective at the opening September 13, 2004, the common shares of Endeavour Silver Corp. will commence trading on the TSX Venture Exchange, and the common shares of Endeavour Gold Corp. will be delisted.

Endeavour Silver Corp. (EDR : TSX-V) is a small-cap exploration and mining company focused on aggressively expanding its portfolio of high grade silver-gold properties, reserves and production in Mexico. Canarc Resource Corp. holds a minority shareholding in the company and helps manage the affairs of Endeavour.
